Dhaka University (DU) on Monday received a donation of Taka 5.12 lakh from state-owned Rupali Bank Limited for developing computer laboratory of the Institute of Leather Engineering and Technology (ILET) of the university.
Director of ILET Professor M Aftab Ali Sheikh received a cheque from Rupali Bank’s Managing Director M Farid Uddin at a function at the lounge adjacent to VC’s office.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique, Arts Faculty Dean Prof Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman, Social Sciences Faculty Dean Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed, Institute of Nutrition and Food Science Professor Nazma Shaheen and DU Senate and Syndicate member SM Bahalul Majnun were present on the occasion.
Prof Arefin thanked Rupali Bank Limited authorities for the donation.
