DU Pedia Content, online encyclopedia of Dhaka University, was launched on Thursday on the campus with an initiative of DU online news portal DU Timz.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique opened the content at his office lounge at a simple function, a DU press release said.
Describing the present era as an era of online technology, the VC urged the students to be prepared to meet the demand of time.
Siddique stressed the need for presenting standard publication and correct information.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (administration) Prof Shahid Ahktar Hossain, DU Alumni Association President Rakib Uddin Ahmed and Business Studies Faculty Dean Prof Shibly Rubaiyatul Islam were present at the function, among others, with DU Timz President Abul Hasnat in the chair.
Important information relating history of the university, architectures, auditoriums, clubs, gymnasium, canteens, print and photocopy, place of prayers, time schedule of traffic, bank and ATM booth and places of vehicle parking will be available at the DU Pedia Content.
