Dhaka University and Kunming University of China have agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on exchanging of teachers, students, researchers and cultural team between the two universities.
The consensus came when a five-member delegation of Kunming University led by its Vice-President Zhang Zuwu called on DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at the latter’s office of the university on Friday, a DU press release said.
Other members of the team were Prof Luo Jun Yan, Prof Mo Nan Ming, Prof Chen Jing and Dr Fan Chuan Zhang.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest, especially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic, research and training programs by the two universities.
The DU Vice-Chancellor said an excellent friendly relation between Bangladesh and China has been prevailing for a long time.
He apprised the delegation members of a brief history of Dhaka University as well as its academic and research activities, the release said.
