DU Correspondent :
Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), Dhaka University (DU) unit, on Wednesday brought out a procession on the university campus protesting the transfer of cases filed against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman from Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court to special court.
The procession started from in front of the Central Mosque and ended at Shahbagh intersection after parading different roads of the university.
Sarder Amirul Islam Sagar, led the procession, while about 50 workers of the party took part in the procession.
The leaders said, the BNP is doing politics to ensure the safety of the people of Bangladesh. It is also fighting to restore the democracy and eliminate the autocracy in the country.
Sarder Amirul Islam Sagar said, “The government thinks that the judiciary is a part of Awami League. But they forget that it is an independent sector of Bangladesh. They want to dominate the judiciary. Transfer of cases filed against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman from Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court to special court is totally unethical.”
