Dhaka University (DU) on Saturday introduced ‘Masters of Accountancy in Taxation’ course to train the Customs, Tax and VAT officials of Bangladesh.
The highly specialised course is designed to develop customs, VAT and income tax professionals as future challenge of rapidly expanding economy of Bangladesh.
The trained professionals after training, will work closely with the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for bringing rate of tax-gross domestic products (GDP) into rational level in Bangladesh.
Besides, these professionals will also assure rapid service to the tax payers of the country with professionalism.
The inauguration programme of the course was attended by the DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Md Akhteruzzan, NBR Chairman Nazibur Rahman, Prominent Economist Mirza Azizul Islam, Course Director Professor Mizanur Rahman, FBCCI President Md Shafiul Islam Mahiuddin and Higher officials of NBR, among others.
