A reunion of Dhaka University History Department Alumni Association (DUHDA) was held at Teachers Students Centre (TSC) on the university campus on Friday.
Former Advisor of caretaker government Dr Akbar Ali Khan inaugurated the function as the chief guest, while Chairman of History Department and General Secretary of DUHDA Professor Sonia Nishat Amin presided over it.
Akbar Ali Khan said, the historians should exercise proper history and write down it for the next generation.
Akbar Ali Khan urged all the alumni to learn more from the history.
Former and incumbent ministers, Parliament members, politicians, journalists, university teachers, govt. and private holders, industrialists, businessmen, cultural and sports personalities and bankers were present at the function, among others.
Sonia Nishat Amin expressed her satisfaction at the presence of the alumni and gave special thanks.
The function started at 10 am and ended in the evening.
A fascinating cultural festival was also held at the TSC auditorium in the evening where noted singers sang.
