The admission test for first year honours courses of ‘Gha’ unit (combined unit for science, business studies and humanities group students) under the academic session 2017-2018 of Dhaka University (DU) was held peacefully on Friday.
The one-hour test was held from 10 am to 11am at 86 centers inside and outside of the campus, said a DU press release.
A total of 98,054 applicants sat for the examinations against 1,610 seats under three groups (Science -1147 seats, Business studies – 410 seats, and Humanities – 53 seats).
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman, Treasurer Professor Md Kamal Uddin, Acting Dean of Social Science Faculty and Gha unit Admission Committee Convener Professor Dr Sadeka Halim, new Proctor Professor Dr AKM Golam Rabbani, Acting Register Md Enamuzzaman among others, visited the different examination halls, the release said.
