The written test for admission into first-year honours for the session 2017-2018 under Ga-Unit of Dhaka University was held on Friday.
The one-hour test was held between 10 am and 11 am at 53 on-and off-campus sites.
Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, acting Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University,
Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, Treasurer of the university, Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul Islam, Dean of the faculty of Business studies and also coordinator of C Unit Admission Test and senior teachers and officers of the university visited the examination halls.
“This year the university administration is very cautious so that nobody can resort to fraud,” said M Amzad Ali, Acting Proctor of DU adding “We hope the next examinations will be held peacefully.”
A total of 29,311 candidates appeared at the admission test against 1,250 seats under the unit.
The admission test (general knowledge) of Fine Arts Faculty under “Cha-Unit” will be held today (Saturday).
As many as 13,476 aspirants have applied against 135 seats under the fine arts faculty.
Admission tests under “Kha-Unit” will be held on September 22, while admission tests for drawing under “Cha-Unit” are scheduled to be held on September 23.
“Ka-Unit” admission tests will be held on October 13 and “Gha-Unit” (combined unit) tests for science, business studies and humanities group students will be held on October 20.
The applicants are prohibited from carrying any kind of electronic device, including mobile phones or any communicable devices, during the exams.
The seating plans for the admission tests can be found on the university’s admissions website: admission.eis.du.ac.bd.
