DU ex-teacher donates 100 books to department’s library

AHM Mostafizur Rahman, a retired professor of Dhaka University’s (DU) soil, water and environment department, has donated 100 books to the department’s seminar library aiming to sparkle the light of knowledge among the students marking the centenary of the university.
To let the students, teachers and researchers use the books in their academic and research activities, the professor gifted the books at the virtual event on Sunday, said a press release.
DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Dr ASM Maksud Kamal addressed the virtual event as the chief guest while DU Teacher Association (DUTA) General Secretary Dr Nizamul Hoque Bhuiyan and Treasurer of DU Alumni Association (DUAA) Rashidul Hasan attended as special guests, with chairmen of the department Dr Khalilur Rahman in the chair.
While addressing Dr ASM Maksud Kamal said on the eve of the university’s founding centenary, AHM Mostafizur Rahman set an example by donating 100 books to his department’s seminar library which has inspired teachers and students a lot.
Maksud kamal extended his sincere gratitude to Mostafizur Rahman for such a great and inspiring initiative and asked the concerned to ensure the best use of the books.
