DU entry exams to be held from June 3 Admission test fees increased

The Dhaka University Dean’s Committee recommended on Wednesday for holding honour’s admission test for the academic session 2021-2022 from June 3. It will be finalized on April 7 at a meeting of General Admission Committee.
The minimum eligibility for the admission test has been lowered.
The admission test will be held at eight districts like previous year. The admission test fees has been increased from Tk 650 to Tk 1,000 this year.
The decision have been taken in a meeting chaired by DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman. Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr ASM Maqsood Kamal and two others Dean confirmed the matter to the New Nation.
According to the sourcees, the Deans’ Committee has recommended for holding of admission test of Unit-Ga under business faculty on June 3, Unit-Kha under arts faculty on June 4, and Unit-Ka and Unit Gha under Science faculty on June 10 and 11.
Besides, it recommended June 17 for holding Unit-Cha entry test under fine arts faculty on June 17.
Submission of admission fees will begin on April 20 and it will continue till May 10.
The minimum eligibility for science students should have a GPA- 8.00 in the secondary, higher secondary and equivalent examinations including the fourth subject. However, the GPA of secondary and higher secondary should be 3.5 separately.
In cases of Arts and Commerce students, it should have 7.50 combinedly and 3.50 separately. For applying to Unit-Cha, it should have GPA- 6.50 combinedly and 3.00 separately.
