International Business Department clinched the North Zone title of the Dhaka University Inter-Department Cricket Tournament beating Accounting and Information Systems Department by seven runs in the final at the Jagannath Hall ground of the university on Wednesday.
Batting first, International Business Department scored 134 runs for 8 in stipulated 20 overs and later they dismissed Accounting and Information Systems Department for 127 runs in 19.1 overs.
Pro Vice Chancellor (Education) of Dhaka University Prof Dr Nasrin Ahmed was the chief guest in the final and later he distributed the prizes.
Provost of DU Jagannath Hall Prof Dr Ashim Sarker and Chairman of the Tournament Committee Dr Subrota Kumar Adithya were also present on the occasion.
