Dhaka University (DU) authorities will distribute convocation costumes among the eligible students on April 4, 5 and 6 in the run-up to 48th convocation of the university.
The students have been asked to collect the convocation costumes from Social Sciences Building, Science Cafeteria, Cafeteria, Business Faculty, Curzon Hall and TSC from 10am to 4pm on April 4 and 5 while from 10am to 1pm on April 6, said a press release.
The syndicate members, academic council members and teachers of the university have been asked to collect the costumes from Nawab Nabab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban.
The 48th convocation of DU will be held on April 7 at the DU Central Playground.
Professor Rolf Heuer, Director General of European Organisation for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, will deliver his speech as the Convocation Speaker with President Abdul Hamid, also the Chancellor of the university, in the chair.
The CERN DG will also be conferred Doctor of Science degree at the convocation.
The first convocation ceremony of DU was held on February 22, 1923.
