Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS) has emerged champion while Daffodil International University (DIU) Debating Club became runner-up in the “Bisk-Club BFDF 4th national debate inter-varsity debate fest-2016” on Monday.
Besides, Shafi Abdullah, Dhaka University (DU) elected as debater of the society.
Business Faculty Debating Forum (BFDF), Rajshahi University (RU) organized the two days long debating fest title with “Vase Jak Pasobikota, Asok Manobik Muktir Din” at campus on June 3-4.
Some 96 participants of 32 different public-private varsities of the country including host RU, DU, CU, JU and DIU participated in the competition that inaugurated by local law maker Fazle Hossain Badsha on Friday morning.
The final round of the debate in the competition held at 5.30pm on Friday at the University Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium.
Following the final round at evening RU business studies faculty dean Prof. Shiblee Sadique attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest while university students advisor Prof Mizanur Rahman and adviser of BFDF Dr. Rukhsana Begum were present as the special gusts.
BFDF president Nafiul Haque Jisan presided over the function.
