Dhaka University (DU) has been listed among top 350 Asian universities according to a London-based organisation Times Higher Education (THE).
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman informed this at his office on the campus on Tuesday morning after receiving a fax message of THE, said a press release.
Times Higher Education listed DU as recognition of its sincere works to enhance the quality of education as well as research works, the release added.
The names with rankings of top Asian universities will be formally announced during the three-day Asia Universities Summit to be held at Shenzhen city in China on 5-7 February.
Presidents and Vice-Chancellors of the listed universities are likely to attend the event.
Akhtaruzzaman has also been cordially invited to join the conference.
