DU Alumni Assoc AGM held

The annual general meeting (AGM) of Dhaka University Alumni Association and orientation of the newly elected committee of the association were held at Teachers-Students Centre (TSC) of the university Saturday afternoon.
Presided over by DU Alumni Association President Rakibuddin Ahmed, the meeting was addressed by DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, former Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AK Azad Chowdhury, eminent alumnae AK Azad, Ranjan Karmakar, World University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Lion Sheikh Kabir Hossain, Ismat Quadir Gama and Mollah Mohammad Abu Kawser, among others, said a DU press release today.
Prof Arefin Siddique felicitated the newly elected committee and said that the role of the alumni association is immense in the development of Dhaka University. DU Alumni Association Secretary General Dewan Rashidul Hassan and other office-bearers Munira Khan, Ashraful Haq Mukul and Selina Khaleque presented different reports at the meeting. Prof Arefin and newly elected DU Alumni Association President AK Azad presented a crest to the outgoing president.
A 40-member executive committee of the alumni association was announced in the meeting.
