A group of students of seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University (DU) on Tuesday blocked the Nilkhet intersection again demanding change in new exam inaction system and to publish results on time.
Hundreds of students of those institutions took to the street around 11:00 am, witnesses said.
The students of first year under 2017-18 session witnessed a mass failure in one subject only.
According to the new policy, students with failed results were not promoted to the second year despite having a good score in other subjects.
The students, who fail to secur CGPA-2, cannot appear for the improvement examination, the new policy said.
The students said that they wanted National University teachers to set the questions for their exam inactions and check the answer scripts instead by Dhaka University teachers, as the former have been taking their classes.
Later, at around 2:00pm, the students postponed their protest after getting assurance from Dhaka University authorities.
