The Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election 2016 of Dhaka University Accounting Alumni was held recently in the Auditorium of Faculty of Business Studies of Dhaka University (DU). A new Executive Committee of 27 Members for the years 2016-17 and 2017-18 was elected in the General Meeting. Kamrul Islam FCA of Semester First Batch and Director of Janata Bank, DCCI and JBCCI elected as President while Shish Haider Chowdhury of Semester Sixth Batch, a member of the BCS (Audit and Accounts) Cadre presently working as Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Finance elected as General Secretary. The other important elected office bearers of the Samity are as follows:
Vice-President-Hassan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron, Vice-President-Dewan Wasiqul Alam Milton, Vice-President-Dr Mizanur Rahman, Treasurer-Arifa Aziz Keya, Joint Secretary-Md. Rafiqul Islam, Joint Secretary-Abdur Razzak Khan Rana, Organising Secretary – Md. Tofael Amhmed.
Besides the above, other noted personalities were also elected as executive member of the Committee including Syed Raihan Rashid Milu, Ahmed Yusur Abbas. Shaikh A Shahid, Swadesh Ranjan Saha, Dr M Helal, Nasim Mahmud, Dr Swapan Kumar Bala, Dr Mohobbot Alai, Dr Jahiruddin and Saiful Islam.
