Delta Spinners Limited, in its meeting of the Board of Directors held recently, has inducted two directors in its Board, namely, an Independent Director and a Director nominated by Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL).
Prof Dr Abdul Quadir Bhuiyan, PhD, former Vice Chancellor of Khulna University has been inducted as the Independent Director of the Company. The previous Independent Director, Md Shamsul Hoque has completed two tenures of his service as Independent Director.
The Board recalled the valuable services that Md Shamsul Hoque had given to the Company during his tenure. The Company hopes that the newly inducted Independent Director, Prof Dr Abdul Quadir Bhuiyan will be of immense help to the Company in overseeing its operations independently.
Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL) as the lender of term loan to the Company, nominates a member in the Board of Directors of the Company. Md Abdul Baqui, General Manager, BDBL has been nominated by BDBL and the Company has inducted him in its Board as BDBL Director.
Due to induction of Independent Director afresh, the Audit Committee and Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) of the Company have also been reconstituted with Prof Dr Abdul Quadir Bhuiyan as the Chairperson of both the Committees.
