DSE up, CSE down

Key share price index at the country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained for the 2nd consecutive session while that of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed marginal loss on Tuesday, the 3rd trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 23.08 points or 0.50 percent to close at 4649.30 on the day. Of the 304 issues traded, 110 gained, 140 declined and 54 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 255.21 crore changed hands at the DSE on Tuesday against Tk 279.74 crore on Monday.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were Ifad Autos, Eastern Cables, Orion Infusion, 7th ICB Mutual Fund, BEXIMCO, Golden Son, CMC Kamal, Legacy Footwear, Reliance Insurance, and Shahjibazar Power.
The 5 turnover leaders at the DSE were Shahjibazar Power, Square Pharmaceuticals, Ifad Autos, Lafarge Surma Cement, and Shasha Denims.
The CSE key index, CSCX, shed 4.56 points to reach 8614.16 on Tuesday. Of the 221 issues traded, 88 advanced, 106 suffered loss and 27 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 25.57 crore at the CSE on the day.
