Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — lost on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 13.15 points or 0.29 percent to close at 4493.40 on the day. Of the 305 issues traded, 79 gained, 191 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 255.54 crore changed hands at the DSE on Tuesday against Tk 314.38 crore on Monday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Dulamia Cotton, Janata Insurance, Shahjibazar Power, Shinepukur Ceramics, Unique Hotel & Resorts, ICB Islamic Bank, Aramit Cement, Fu Wang Food, Saiham Cotton Mills and RN Spinning Mills.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were ACI, Lafarge Surma Cement, Shahjibazar Power, ACI Formulations, and Grameenphone.
The CSE key index, CSCX lost 33.66 points to reach 8312.17 at close on Tuesday. Of the 221 issues traded, 54 advanced, 143 suffered loss and 24 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 23.69 crore on the day at the CSE.
