DSE sees marginal loss after gaining in 13 days

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw on Sunday marginal loss after witnessing up in the 13 consecutive sessions that began on August 31 as major sectors closing the session with falling trend.
The broader index DSEX of DSE finished the session 6.87 points down at 4673.44. The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES followed it by 3.31 down at 1768.59 and 1.07 at 1120.92 respectively.
Similarly, the prime CASPI index at Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) was 63.60 points down at 14,329.42.
The transaction at DSE was 21.70 crore shares and total value of the share was Taka 576.55 crore.
At DSE, out of the day’s 324 traded issues, price of 165 securities closed lower against 117 gaining issues. At CSE, 255 issues were traded of which 124 closed lower against 99 closing higher.
The major gaining issues were Yeakin Polymer, Evince Textile, Safko Spinning, Dragon Sweeter and Spinning and Mozaffar Hossain Spinning. The major losing companies were Apex Spinning, International Leasing, Provati Insurance, Exim First Mutual Fund and Bay Leasing.
Yeakin Polymer topped the turnover leaders followed by Mobil Jamuna Oil, United Power, GSP Finance and Lanka Bangla Finance.
