Share market showed good recovery on Wednesday, with all three indices of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) closing the session significantly higher.
The broader DSEX index gained 68.87 points to end at 4360.49, crossing the 4300-point mark again. The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES also recovered to finish higher at 1670.70 and 1065.39 respectively.
“Market shot up riding on bargain opportunities in many scrips. Investors cautiously started moving in the market from sideline lured by cheap prices, surging turnover,” said IDLC Investment Limited.
The higher activities drove the daily turnover volume and value much higher than the recent average. A total of 10.37 crore shares worth Taka 469.74 crore were changed hands on the day.
