Key share price index at the country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained nominally while that Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) suffered loss on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DGEN gained 0.71 points or 0.015 percent to reach 4527.21 points at close today. Of the 296 issues traded, 120 gained, 127 declined and 49 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 493.21 crore changed hands at the DSE on Wednesday.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were HWA Well Textiles, Paramount Textiles, Renwick Jajneswar, Mozaffar Hossain Spinning Mills, MJL, Wata Chemicals, AFC Agro, Makson Spinning Mills, CMC Kamal, and Active Fine Chemicals.
Meanwhile, the CSE key index, CSCX lost 2.61 points to stand at 8564.19 points at close today. Of the 214 issues traded, 72 gained, 104 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 33.51 crore were traded at the CSE on Wednesday.
