Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – suffered nominal loss on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 2.36 points or 0.05 percent to reach 4408.80 points at close today. Of the 296 issues traded on the day 133 gained, 132 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 368.76 crore changed hands at the DSE on Thursday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Wata Chemicals, BD Welding, Stylecraft, Samata Leather, Pragati Insurance, Apex Footwear, Kohinoor Chemicals, KPCL, Libra Infusions, and GHCL.
The CSE key index, CSCX lost 0.90 points to stand at 8410.43 points at close today. Of the 219 issues traded, 83 gained, 108 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
