DSE, CSE lose on Wednesday

The key share price indices of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – dropped on Wednesday.
The DSE key index, DSEX lost 6.05 points or 0.13 percent to close at 4568.01 on the day. Of the 318 issues traded, 114 gained, 153 declined and 51 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 387.84 crore changed hands at the DSE on Wednesday against Tk 443.03 crore on Tuesday.
National Tubes topped the 10 losers’ list at Dhaka bourse while other companies were BD Autocars, Gemini Sea Food, Bangas, Exim Bank 1st Mutual Fund, ICB Islamic Bank, Rahima Food, Mithun Knitting, Shyampur Sugar Mills and Ibn Sina.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were Ifad Autos, KDS Accessories, Al-Arafah Islami, Saif Powertec and Beximco Pharma.
Top five gainers at the DSE were Prime Finance First Mutual Fund, MI Cement, Phoenix Finance and Investments, KDS Accessories and GSP Finance Company.
The key index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), CASPI dropped 25.41 points to reach 13952.39 at close on Wednesday. Of the 240 issues traded, 84 advanced, 128 suffered loss and 28 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues at the port city bourse was Tk 24.83 crore on the day.
