Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – suffered loss after a mixed session Monday, the second trading day of the week.
Trading at both the bourses began on positive note in the morning on Monday, but ended the day in red after some ups and downs.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX lost 29.80 points or 0.63 percent to reach 4684.07 at the close of trading on Monday. Of the 292 issues traded, 98 gained, 158 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 344.06 crore changed hands at the DSE on the day.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Shyampur Sugar Mills, Makson Spinning Mills, EBL NRB Mutual Fund, RAK Ceramics, Meghna Life Insurance, Progress Life Insurance, National Life Insurance, ICB Islamic Mutual Fund, Glaxo Smith, and Aziz Pipes.
The CSE key index, CSCX also lost 52.02 points to reach 9217.74 at the close today. Of the 211 issues traded, 67 advanced, 122 declined and 22 remained unchanged. The value of the traded issues was Tk 36.41 crore on the day.
