DSE, CSE indices lose on Sunday

Key share price indices in the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnesses loss for on Sunday, the 1st trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 20.09 points or 0.41 percent to close at 4844.36 on the day. Of the 320 issues traded, 112 gained, 169 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 673.47 crore changed hands at the DSE on Sunday as against Tk 688.54 crore on Thursday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Renwick Jajneswar, IFIC Bank, Tallu Spinning, IFIL Islamic Mutual Fund-1, Islami Bank, National Polymer, Anwar Galvanizing, National Life Insurance, Berger Paints, and Northern General Insurance.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were United Power Generation & Distribution, Lafarge Surma Cement, ACI, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company, and Shahjibazar Power.
Top five gainers of the day were CVO Petrochemical Refinery, Gemini Sea Food, HR Textile, Eastern Lubricants and Wata Chemicals.
The CSE key index, CASPI lost 32.18 points to reach 14877.60 at close on Sunday. Of the 254 issues traded, 96 advanced, 130 suffered loss and 28 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues at the CSE was Tk 56.64 crore on the day.
