Key share price indices at country’s twin bourses -Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed loss for three consecutive sessions on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed just 1.06 points or nearly 0.02 percent to close at 4792.94 on the day. Of the 317 issues traded, 123 gained, 136 declined and 58 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 456.55cr changed hands at the DSE on Tuesday as against Tk 399.35cr on Monday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Samata Leather, Alltex Industries, Prime Insurance, LR Global Bangladesh Mutual Fund One, Sonar Bangla Insurance, Peoples Leasing and Financial Services, Alhaj Textile, The Dacca Dyeing & Manufacturing, ACI Formulations, and 3rd ICB Mutual Fund.
Top five turnover leaders of DSE were Square Pharmaceuticals, Lafarge Surma Cement, Shahjibazar Power, Apex Tannery, and United Power Generation & Distribution.
