Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses -Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – gained after continuous sessions of fall on Tuesday, the 2nd trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX, gained 54.63 points or nearly 1.38 percent to close at 4014.37 on the day. Of the 311 issues traded, 214 gained, 70 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 327.30 crore changed hands at the DSE on Tuesday as against Tk 330.44 crore on Monday.
The CSE key index, CSCX, gained 77.13 points to reach 7510.95 at close on Tuesday. Of the 221 issues traded, 148 advanced, 52 suffered loss and 21 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 25.42 crore at the CSE on the day.
