Key share price index at country’s twin bourses -Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed positive trend at the closing on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 65.19 points or 1.46 percent to close at 4533.21 on the day. Of the 305 issues traded, 203 gained, 71 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 268.19 crore changed hands at the DSE on Sunday as against Tk 166.61 crore on Thursday.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were ACI Formulations, Shahjibazar Power, Alltex Industries, BSRM Steels, Monno Jute Stafflers, Ambee Pharma, Nitol Insurance, Rupali, Life Insurance, Agni Systems, and ACI.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were ACI, Lafarge Surma Cement, Shahjibazar Power, ACI Formulations, and Ifad Autos.
The CSE key index, CSCX gained 76.22 points to reach 8376.30 at close on Sunday. Of the 237 issues traded, 142 advanced, 61 suffered loss and 34 remained unchanged.
