DSE, CSE indices drops

Key Share price index at the country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) experienced 97.73 points fall, the biggest fall of the year, while Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) observed another massive 166.91 points fall on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX dropped 97.73 points or 2.33 percent to close at 4094.48 on the day. Of the 307 issues traded, 37 gained, 248 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
A leading stockbroker of the country, IDLC Finance on its daily market commentary said, “In the backdrop of catastrophic earthquake in neighboring country as well as heating up of local political frontier, market started in a demoralised tone.”
