Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses -Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – suffered loss on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 40.07 points or nearly 0.81 percent to close at 4892.96 on the day.Of the 306 issues traded, 103 gained, 170 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 200.59 crore changed hands at the DSE on Sunday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Modern Dyeing & Screen Printing, Western Marine Shipyard, Shahjibazar Power, Standard Ceramic, Hamid Fabrics, Dulamia Cotton, Sonali Aansh, Meghna Condensed Milk, Safko Spinning, and Midas Financing.
