Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — suffered loss on Wednesday, the 3rd trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 47.92 points or nearly 0.95 percent to close at 5017.22 on the day. Of the 308 issues traded, 111 gained, 159 suffered loss and 38 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 743.80 crore changed hands at the DSE on Wednesday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Power Grid Company Of Bangladesh, Alltex Industries, Fine Foods, Modern Dyeing & Screen Printing, Mutual Trust Bank, BD Autocars, Reliance Insurance, Sunlife Insurance, Quasem Drycells, and Purabi General Insurance.
