Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses -Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – gained Monday, the 2nd trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 18.78 points or nearly 0.39 percent to close at 4868.47 on the day.
Shares worth Tk 266.96cr changed hands at the DSE on Monday as against Tk. 237.88cr on Sunday. Of the 306 issues traded, 141 gained, 118 declined and 47 remained unchanged.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE Global Insurance, Bangladesh Industrial Finance Corporation, Popular Life First Mutual Fund, AIMS First Mutual Fund, Eastern Cables, United Leasing, National Tea, DESCO, Western Marine Shipyard, and Grameen One: Scheme Two.
