DSE, CSE index end week in red

The turnover at the DSE on Thursday, the last trading day of the week, was down 67 percent from the previous day, which is a 13-month low.
Besides, key share price index at the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — also ended lower on the day.
LankaBangla securities said, “Today, on Motijheel Street, stocks were traded on per unit basis as DSE introduced an ‘Auto Adjustable accelerating trading activities by resolving existing complexities’.
They also said: “The flex trading system allows investors to buy or sell only one share or unit; there will be no market lot of share.
“As market commenced under this new trading system, investors were watchful about stock price movement in the morning session which hit the day’s low at 4900 points.”
