DSE, CSE index begin week in red DSE turnover Tk 383.39cr, CSE Tk 44.18cr

Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – suffered loss on Sunday, the 1st trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 31.48 points or nearly 0.63 percent to close at 4930.37 on the day. Of the 299 issues traded, 135 gained, 132 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 383.39 crore changed hands at the DSE on Sunday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Meghna Petroleum, Shurwid Industries, Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries, Eastern Lubricants, Anwar Galvanizing, Western Marine Shipyard, Apex Spinning and Knitting Mills, Berger Paints, Fu Wang Foods, and Deshbandhu Polymer.
The CSE key index, CSCX lost 48.55 points to reach 9261.73 at close on Sunday. Of the 223 issues traded, 88 advanced, 103 suffered loss and 32 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 44.18 crore at the CSE on the day.
