DSE, CSE down in early trading

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw downward trends in early hours of trading on Monday as cautious investors are on selling spree.
Within first one and a half hours of trading, DSEX, the benchmark index of DSE, went down by 30.97 points or 0.51 percent to 6,010.22 at 11:59 am.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also lost 4.58 points or 0.34 percent to stand at 1,327.68 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, shed over 9.70 points or 0.44 percent to stand at 2,179.56.
Trade deals stood at 41,143 with volume of transactions at Tk 2050.80 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 92 advanced, 180 declined and 41 remained unchanged.
aamra networks Ltd was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 126.54 million changing hands till then followed by BBS Cables, GP, IFAD Autos and Rangpur Foundry.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed negative trend in early hours with its Selective Category Index losing 52.04 points to 11,269.65 also at 12:02 pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 43 gained, 97 declined and 23 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 397 million.
