DSE, CSE begin week in red

Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – began the week with loss on Sunday.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 33.74 points or 0.70 percent to reach 4727.44 at the close of trading on Sunday. Of the 290issues traded, 84 gained, 174 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
Despite the day’s depressed market scenario, Food & Allied, NBFI and Life Insurance performed well. Shares worth Tk 423.03 crore changed hands at the DSE on Sunday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were HR Tex, Kay and Que, Miracle Industry, AFC Agro, Legacy Footwear, Savar Ref, ICB First NRB Mutual Fund, BD Com, Padma Life Insurance, and Shyampur Sugar Mills.
