The Graduation Dinner of the 2014-2015 Course of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) was held at its Officers’ Mess at Mirpur Cantonment here on Thursday night.
Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury was present at the function as the chief guest.
Besides, Chief of Army Staff General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan, Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral M Farid Habib, Acting Air Chief Air Vice Marshal Abu Esrar, the principal staff officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division, defence advisors of the friendly countries participating in the DSCSC course and high civil and military officials were present at the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shirin Sharmin congratulated all participants on completion of the DSCSC course successfully.
She also expressed satisfaction over high standard of education of the college and congratulated its commandant and all concerned.
Mentioning the role of the Military Command and Staff College in the training of the Armed Forces officers, the Speaker hoped that the high standard of the college would be maintained in future.
In his welcome address, DSCSC Commandant Major General Sajjadul Haque expressed gratitude and extended his sincere thanks to all involved in the curriculum and administration of the organization.
A total of 214 persons-120 officers from Bangladesh Army, 23 from Bangladesh Navy, 19 from Bangladesh air Force and 52 officers from other countries-took part in this year’s DSCSC course.
