Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has continued its regular mobile court drives to remove illegal overhead cables and structures from footpaths and streets.
A mobile court led by DSCC’s property officer and Executive Magistrate Md Muniruzzaman on Thursday conducted a drive to evict illegal structures on a paved road in front of Jatrabari Park, said a press release.
During the drive, twelve makeshift shops were evicted from the area.
In another drive, a mobile court, led by DSCC’s Executive Magistrate Mohammad Kazi Faisal, conducted a drive in Satmasjid Road to remove illegal cables.
During the drive, illegal cables were removed from the electric pole located at a distance of about 400 meters.
A seperate drive was conducted in Bangshal area, led by DSCC Executive Magistrate Ferdous Wahid.
During the drive, illegal cables were removed from the electric poles located at a distance of about
500 meters from Bangshal intersections to Bangshal new road.
At this time, under Section 186 of the Penal Code, a fine of Tk 5,000 was realized from a person for obstructing the government work.
Another mobile court, led by DSCC’s Executive Magistrate A H Irfan Uddin Ahmed, conducted a drive from Fulbaria market to the fire service corner of Bangabazar area and evicted illegal makeshift from the road.
