Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) decided to reduce the number of cattle markets to 10 instead of 13 for Eid-ul-Azha considering the Covid-19 situation in the country.
The DSCC finalised 10 makeshift cattle markets today, said a press release of the city corporation.
The cancelled three cattle markets are: the open spaces adjoining Little
Friends Club and the open space near Biswa Road, the open space at Amulia Model Town and the open spaces near Kadamtali Bus Stand.
The DSCC earlier floated tenders for 13 makeshift cattle markets and today finalised 10, considering the current situation of coronavirus, said the press release.
The cattle markets will remain open for five days including the day of Eid-ul-Azha.
