Dhaka South City Corporation is going to construct a new children’s amusement park and a playground soon.
“By constructing a new children” park and a playground we will fulfill the desire of old Dhaka citizens,” DSCC Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon on Tuesday said it while laying foundation stones of the park and the playground.
Both the establishments will be constructed in ward-26 in old Dhaka.
Shahid Abdul Alim Playground will be constructed at a cost of Tk 5 crore and Rasul Bagh Children Amusement Park at Tk 2 crore.
“The old Dhaka citizens have long been demanding a walking space for senior people. The Shahid Abdul Alim Playground will meet this demand,” the Mayor said.
“There will be a football playground, pavilion, net practice space for cricket, 250 meter walkway for the people to walk in morning and evening, separate space for children games, public plaza for sitting, space for Eid jamaat, library, gymnasium and toilet facilities,” the Mayor further said.
The Rasul Bagh Children Amusement Park will have different modern ride facilities and game items for children, 150 meter walkway for the people to walk in morning and evening, public spaces for sitting, mosque and other refreshment facilities. DSCC Chief Executive Officer Khan Mohammad Bilal and the Ward Councillor Hasibur Raman, among others, were present.
