Mourning Day: DSCC starts free medical services

Dhaka South City Corporation on Wednesday started a free medical services for the people for a fortnight to commemorate Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Architect of Bangladesh, on the occasion of his 43rd martyrdom.
“The DSCC will observe the National Mourning Day and will commemorate the Bangabandhu by giving free medical services to the people of Dhaka South,” said DSCC Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon, while inaugurating the programme in the Nagar Bhaban.
He said that the medical teams would work in all the 57 wards. Sub-Assistant Medical Officers will be there.
He advised the people to call a hotline to get medical services. The number of the hotline is 09611000999.
“If you feel sick, just dial the number. Our medical teams will reach your houses,” the mayor said.
The DSCC conducted ‘clean Dhaka’ programme last year to observe the day.
