A mobile court while conducting drives in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) area recovered nine decimals of land, filed three cases and realized Taka 1 lakh as fine.
The mobile court conducted the drives to evict illegal establishments from DSCC area and identify the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes.
According to a press release issued by the DSCC, the eviction drive was carried out in the South Mugda area of zone 7 as part of DSCC’s regular eviction drive.
During the drive, an illegal structure was removed as it obstructed the road expansion work.
DSCC Property Officer, Executive Magistrate Mohammad Moniruzzaman and Executive Magistrate AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed led the drive.
Moniruzzaman said, Mayor of DSCC, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, visited the South Mugda area on Wednesday and ordered to evict illegal structures in the area.
The eviction drive is being carried out since this morning under the directive of the mayor Taposh, he added.
Besides, a mobile court of DSCC has conducted a drive in ward No. 15 and 17 of Zone-1 to identify the breeding grounds of mosquitoes.
