DSCC fines 13 restaurants

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has fined a total of 13 restaurants, including Adda Restaurant in Dhanmondi area, for violating hygiene rules.
Separate mobile courts also conducted the operation on Wednesday to identify the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes in the DSCC area, evict illegal installations and remove illegal cables.
According to a press release issued by the DSCC, the operation was carried out in continuation of regular mobile court raids, removal of illegal installations and removal of cables and identification of Aedes mosquito breeding grounds.
AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed, executive magistrate of the corporation, removed illegal cable connections on Dhanmondi Road 2 and 3 on Wednesday in a continuation of regular eviction activities on the 30th day.
Besides, the court fined a total of 8 shops Tk 43,000 for not having trade licenses or renewing trade licenses.
The mobile court also fined Adda Restaurant located in Road-4 area in Dhanmondi Tk 40,000 as the court found the eatery’s kitchen untidy.
