Three mobile courts run by Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) , in separate drives, evicted nine illegal establishments and fined Taka 98,000 cash over running illegal structures and presence of Aedes mosquito larvae.
DSCC Executive Magistrate Mohammad Moniruzzaman conducted a drive in city’s Postagala area on Thursday and evicted the nine illegal establishments surrounding the T&T office at IG gate and an illegal van stand there.
He also filed three cases and fined cash Taka 20,000 in this regard.
Meanwhile, as part of routine mosquito control operations, two more mobile courts of DSCC conducted drives in Dhanmondi area under Ward No 15 of Zone-1 and Bamoil area of Demra under Ward No 66 of Zone 8.
DSCC Executive Magistrates Md Kazi Faysal and Ferdous Wahid conducted the drives in 15 No Ward and 66 No Ward under the city corporation area respectively.
