Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted that weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind in several parts of the country in next 24 hours ending at 9 am on Sunday.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Jashore and Kushtia with hails at isolated places until early tomorrow,” said a met office press release.
Besides, mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Madaripur, Rangamati, Feni and Moulvibazar and it may abate from some places.
The maximum temperature was recorded 37.8 degrees Celsius on Friday at Jashore in Khulna division while Saturday’s minimum temperature 24.1 degrees Celsius at Sylhet.
