Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions as weather may remain mainly dry elsewhere over country, a met office press release said on Monday.
Moderate heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Sitakunda and Rangamati and mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Dhaka, Tangail, Sandwip, Feni, Rajshahi, Pabna, Khulna and Kushtia and it may abate from some places.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 38.5 degrees Celsius jointly at Sitakunda and Ranagamati and minimum temperature on Monday was 16.1 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
The highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am was recorded 23 millimeters (mm).
