The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted that the weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am yesterday. Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the over the country during midnight to morning, said a Met office press release here. The release added that mild cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the regions of Gopalgonj, Sitakunda, Cumilla, Srimangal, Rajshahi, Pabna, Jashore and Chuadanga and it may abate from some places. Night temperature may rise by (1-2)oC and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded by 27.5 degree Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram and lowest temperature on Friday was recorded by 7.6 degree Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur.
