Law enforcers rescued drugs and stolen goods worth over Tk 7 crore and arrested 764 suspected drug peddlers during the month of March from different places of the district.
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered drugs and stolen goods worth Tk 4.17 crore and arrested 15 people in their drives during the period, this was revealed at a meeting of the District Law and Order Committee held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room.
The meeting was informed that police recovered goods worth Tk 2.78 crore and arrested 750 people, while members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab)-11 recovered goods worth Tk 7.52 lakh and arrested seven people in their drives.
Members of Narcotics Control Bureau and District Taskforce seized drugs and stolen goods worth Tk 97 lakh and arrested 37 people in their drives during the month.
